Staying Curious About Larger Truths

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

The lesson of the moon is change, to be sensitive and not emotional, to respond and not react, to be receptive without losing yourself.

December 7, late in the evening in North America, the last full moon of 2022. As we head towards the Winter Solstice, this moon has also been known as the long nights moon.

The fastest moving 'planet' or luminary, the moon changes its mood or sign every 2 1/2 days. And since this luminary touches our emotions, if you don't like how you are feeling, just wait 2-3 days and it will change.

Each full moon throughout the year is colored or modified by a different sign. And when the moon is full, it tends to magnify those feelings or lessons. -- This month’s full moon is colored by Gemini, the twins, how we think and communicate. It asks us to stay curious (Gemini) about larger truths (Sagittarius). When we are curious, we can open our heart to greater possibilities.

This month, the full moon sits on top of a retrograding Mars. The lesson of Mars? Proper use of one’s ego. So, some power or control issues may arise and be magnifies. Any one experience that over the holidays? Remember, to observe first. Maybe be curious about what you are feeling before you respond (not react).

With So Much Love from Me and the Stars,

Meg
