Try to arrive approximately ten minutes before the start
of class. This allows you to prepare for the opening relaxation phase of the class and also allows you to benefit
from participating in the entire class.
Wear
comfortable clothing. Shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and ankles should be visible. This allows the study
of your alignment in each pose.
If
you have any injuries or health issues, make sure to let your teacher know before class. This will help the teacher
be mindful of adjustments or postures that may help.
To help focus your practice, try dedicating it to a special intention.
Be mindful of your own abilities as you practice each pose. If any pose feels
uncomfortable or painful, back-off of the pose, ask for an adjustment or release the pose entirely.
To enjoy and share the peace of the practice, please leave cell
phones, pagers and other distractions outside of the classroom space.
It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach or about 1-2 hours after a
full meal.
Come prepared to
enjoy yourself!
